The war is over. The population and economy needed another decade to fully recover from the aftermath. EVVA itself had to contend with shortages of materials and production machines, which were partially dismantled by the Nazi regime. And then there was the lack of staff to deal with: All skilled workers were drafted to the army during the war. The company only managed to stay afloat thanks to female support staff and trainees. Reconstruction continues; the economy gradually gains momentum. EVVA benefitted from the construction work, and the creation of housing.
