EVVA was granted the first Austrian patent for a cylinder padlock in 1936. EVVA completely redesigned it and launched it onto the market in 1937. It was resistant to corrosion, and could withstand weather conditions as well as dust and water in the body. Yet EVVA’s range of security solutions did not stop there. The 1937 product catalogue featured security cylinders with drilling protection, cubicle locks for changing rooms, cylinder rim locks, furniture cylinders, long backplates, door handles and additional door protection.
