Within only a few years, the company – ‘EVVA-Werk Spezialerzeugung von Zylinder und Sicherheitsschlössern GmbH & Co. KG’ – was once again back in the black. The reason for this being that Nikolaus Bujas put the focus back on EVVA's founding philosophy developed in 1919: Invention, experimentation, application. The company's in-house research and development department underwent major upgrades. In 1974 Bujas established the company’s own R&E department. Management went about tackling other important areas: it cut costs, improved purchasing policies and had the EVVA plant remodelled in only six months.
