Employees' and the management's strong commitment was yielding results. The turnover between 1973 and 1978 doubled to almost 90 million Austrian schillings. Despite the new automated production technologies, the company hired another 120 new staff over the coming years. Almost 300 highly specialised employees worked at EVVA in the 1980s. EVVA as a family-owned company had grown to be the country's largest manufacturer of cylinders and locking systems. The company had grown in size, and earned a good reputation internationally. It was time to think and act more internationally.
