The institution can look back on almost 200 years of researching, teaching and learning. Vienna Technical University is amongst Europe's most successful and Austria's largest natural-science-based research and teaching institutions with over 29,000 students and around 3,300 researchers. As a result, a perfect security concept needed to include and merge numerous institutes, a host of user groups and complex locking hierarchies.
